I woke up at 12:50 this morning. I got up to use the bathroom, and I sat straight up. I haven't gotten used to rolling out of bed, and I used every ab muscle I have. Immediately, I felt a lot of pain in my upper abdomen. I didn't drink much yesterday so my first thought was that I was dehydrated so I drank a bottle of water and returned to bed. When the alarm went off at 6:15 this morning, the cramping was there and as bad as ever, but it doesn't seem to be regular (as in contractions). I considered calling my OB's office, but instead, drank another bottle of water and tried to get comfortable. It didn't work. About 7, I decided to take a warm shower, which seems to have helped a lot although the cramping is still there. I'm still gulping down the water and have decided not to call the OB's office unless the cramping gets worse and/or becomes regular. It's a very strange to feel the baby move along with the cramps, and I'm pretty sure this is just Braxton Hicks even with the pain, but again, I've never done this before so what the heck do I know?

Actually I would call the OB to get their opinion anyway. As someone who went through a LOT of pre-term labor, I can tell you the OB would rather hear from you than let things go on too long.
Call!!
Scary! Hope all is well and your ute is just practicing for the big day. ;)
*hugs*
Yeah LauraC is right - call. If you are dehydrated then it can cause BH - but drinking all the water should make them stop. If they are not stopping - it might be more real.

I agree, just call the OB. It can't hurt!
Girl thanks for checking in with me. Everythings fine just been lazy.
You on the other hand better call the Doc if that gets ANY worse or different. My thought better ask now before it's to late.
This my second, and I STILL don't really know what I'm feeling or what to expect! I think I've been having B-H contractions too, since I keep waking up in the middle of the night for no good reason. I'd also call the OB, just to be safe. But if you can still do stuff through the pain, I wouldn't worry. The one thing I'm sure about is REAL contractions do NOT mess around!
Agree with Laura - call 'em! Remind us your due date?
I didn't have any BH labor so I can't really offer any thoughts on that. I can tell you that it's better to be safe and call the doc.
