MTB left me alone this weekend to go fishing with friends in Hardy. Although he had agreed to stay at home for the duration of this pregnancy a while ago, he really wanted to go, and I really wanted him to go. Feeling the baby move on a consistent basis has made me more confident, and I wanted him to take advantage while the weather is still gorgeous. That said, I was secretly dreading it, but it actually turned out okay.
Friday afternoon, I had lunch with a friend I haven't seen in a while. She was passing through Dallas, and I got to meet up with her and her absolutely adorable 15-month old daughter. We started working with the firm at the same time, and we worked on the same engagement for a while before she decided that public accounting just wasn't her schtick. Her husband was in a dental school, and after he graduated, they moved to Waco. Our 2-hour lunch just flew by as we talked about pregnancy, child-birth, and being a stay-at-home mom.
Saturday evening, I met a friend for dinner, and we went to a Dallas Symphony Orchestra performance at the Myerson. The music was fantastic, but just a few minutes into the program, the bathroom was calling my name. As the music crescendoed again and again, so did the bathroom's call. The baby loved it though, and she was dancing around in my tummy. My bladder was her timpani.
Sunday was uneventful as I waited for MTB's return. He missed me, and his solo travels are over for now.

When hubby leaves thats my time to catch up with old friends. Even though I hate when hes away it always turns out ok.
Glad you had a good weekend.
I hate it when Husband leaves. Something about pregnancy has turned me in to this needy mess that cries whenever he is gone now. Previously, I loved it! HE is already talking about going to whatever bowl game Tech is going to be in and I will have to stay at home because I don't want to fly in my 3rd trimester! Sigh! Trying not to think about it for now.
I am glad you had a good weekend and it is over and he is HOME.
*hugs*
It's always nice to have some time to yourself and even nicer when they come back...glad you had a good weekend!
Sounds like you found some great things to do while hubby was away playing with the fish. (:
I can never sleep when mine goes away and our dogs are always a little more edgy and protective. It’s nice to have the big old lugs home, huh?
