Marathon doctor's visits this morning. It started early with the Level II ultrasound. ChooChoo is doing well, and she is in the 53rd percentile in terms of growth. She was face down in the fetal position with her head on one side of my tummy and her hiney on the other side. She was kicking up a storm on the way to the doctor's office, but once we were there with the goop all over my tummy, she was asleep, and no matter what the technician did, our little girl was not going to wake up. She moved around a little, but she comfortable and unwilling to roll over for a profile. We didn't get any good pictures of her sweet little face, but that's okay as long as she's okay. And for the record, she is still definitely a girl!
Next was the glucose test, and I really hope that I don't have to drink that orange stuff again. Yuck! The lab tech was swamped, and she barely had time to draw my blood before the test would have been invalid. Results tomorrow.
Finally, it was the prenatal checkup. This appointment was with one of the other doctors in the practice, and he was quick and seemed a bit uninterested in me. Maybe that's just the way it is when you see someone other than your own doctor. I also got a flu shot and the RhoGam shot. I managed to lose a pound since the appointment 4 weeks ago. I think I was just really super swollen last time, and most of that was water, but whatever. Since retrieval, I am up a total of 15 pounds and since the beginning of my IVF cycle, I am up 21 pounds.
Overall, I am glad that things are well, and going forward, I'll see my OB or one of his partners every two weeks. Next appointment is the day before Thanksgiving, which means one thing..... I can eat on Thanksgiving!

If, by chance, you have to do the 3 hour test opt for the fruit punch. It honestly isn't that horrible.
YAY on a great appt, if only that it was long. I am so glad you u/s was awesome!
Do you have hospital forms/etc to fill out? I need to remember to ask about that at my next appt to get it out of the way now, before I forget!
How nice does it feel to have normal appts?
I second the fruit punch glucola. Yummy!
hated the orange glucola.I am so glad choo-choo is doing well. Too bad you didn't get a face pic but at least you know she is chugging along just fine.
Yech - I hope you don't have to do the three hour test! And I am sooo excited for T-day.
I'm so happy Choo Choo is doing so well and I can hardly believe you are 28weeks already!! Didn't she know that her mama wanted to get some face shots. Little stinker needed her beauty sleep, huh? (;
